Styled in Black

Styled in Black

Black is usually considered an extremely versatile colour.

Styled in many different ways. It can be striking on it's own or when styled with other elements. Here are some ideas of using the striking style feature of BLACK...

ADDING POPS OF COLOURS

When styling a room, a range of hues helps to create different looks. When a room is busy and filled with colour, styling with black is always a tone that helps to hold all of the features together and brings soft furninshings and hard furniture together to set the mood allow the colours to lift.

Splashes of colour in arrays of clay, sage, blue, seafoam and our most coveted neutrals work so well with black. Incorporating a good balance of black amongst elements of colour will help to lift the colour mood and highlight design elements.

WORKING DETAILS
Black ornamental detail helps to highlight and create striking features around the room. Candles set the mood and can be added as a workable feature, these furnishings can also be in the form of vases, candles or a soft cushion to add to the sofa.

REFLECTIONS AND SURFACES
We love the use of different textures and materials when styling a room. From glass vases, ribbed candles and printed cushions, sometimes embroidered with tassels and texture. All of these elements help to add dimension and feel.
Subtle reflections will highlight a flicker on a candle or a striking black ceramic vase or ornament will create it's own light in a room.
